I have a quick question about shots remaining. I use an 8gb card which now shows only 207, on an empty card, i did notice that the file number was 9792, is the remaining number due to that and will it go back to the high count when file number clicks round.

Correct. When you get to 9999 it will stop and you will get a screen prompt to reset the folder.

You can also cut the 18-55 EF-S and 55-250 EF-S to mount fit on Ef without much vignetting. However, barrel distortion is very apparent at the wider ends of both lens.

I need to stay out of the buy/sell forum. It's burning a hole in the wallet...

Not all EF-S lenses work. Some may exhibit more vignetting rendering them useless.

Wondering if there is a sticky on how to use auto focus settings for this camera. I went through the manual but couldn't understand why certain features were there.

My current camera used to be Canon 50D and interested in Bird in flight.
