The demand and value of this camera has seriously dropped over the last year. Still an awesome camera though. Amazing that the 5d classic and 1Ds seem to be holding strong though. Crazy, you can't even give these things away anymore...

Finally got my 1d2 back from repair! However, not sure all is well here.

My camera does not appear to know how many shots are left on the card, as least not correctly. It is only showing 205 shots left on a 8 gb CF card. Then when I shoot 6 shots and format the card. It goes down to 199 and stays at that. I can only assume as I keep shooting this week keep happening.

Has this happened to anyone?

You are getting ready to roll over file number 9999. So, for instance, when you are at file number 9995, it is going to show that you only have room for five more frames, no matter how big your card. At 9999, it will stop, and you will be prompted on the screen....ok it and away you go on the next 10,000 file count.

Great! As always thanks for the help George.

You're welcome....it is kinda confusing to look down there and know you just formatted a 8 gig card, and expect to see 600 or 700...whatever it is....but only see a smaller number. It's like WTF mate ?!

Oh man, I need to get out and shoot more. I barely shot anything all summer! Someone was giving away a new canon NP-E3 battery on here and I managed to get it, so that'll be nice having another battery that can hold a charge.
