My camera does not appear to know how many shots are left on the card, as least not correctly. It is only showing 205 shots left on a 8 gb CF card. Then when I shoot 6 shots and format the card. It goes down to 199 and stays at that. I can only assume as I keep shooting this week keep happening. You are getting ready to roll over file number 9999. So, for instance, when you are at file number 9995, it is going to show that you only have room for five more frames, no matter how big your card. At 9999, it will stop, and you will be prompted on the screen....ok it and away you go on the next 10,000 file count. regards, george w
