Ok so I'm testing lightroom. I have a set of pictures that I brought in yesterday and today when I look at them, lightroom seems to be possessed. Hard to explain, easy to see.

Has anyone seen this. Should I find the database and delete it. This does not bod well for my testing.

In the first picture please notice that I am in Library mode, then the second I am in Develop mode. These where all 90 degree rotated last night.

Lr 1.3

That's a good one!

Ok, couple of questions - have these passed through another program before entering LR? Sometimes if another program has rotated them, it can complicate matters.

Secondly, can you see the little black line round the thumbnails? That shows that the thumbnails are just reading the embedded thumbnail. Try this - go into Grid mode, select all, Library menu > Previews > Render Standard Previews.... and report back!

I had to delete the library and re-import when Elements had first imported off the card. I could see the correct preview in the library function, but not when developing. (LR 2.0 beta)

I guess this means lightroom doesn't like us doing things behind its back.

No automatic re-import, re-generation of thumbnails.
