The lighting in the club is horrible.... First pic, the hair blends in with the background. 2nd pic, I need to know how to light up the background evenly. I have 1 AB800, 430ex, and a large reflector. I guess since the space is so limited, i didn't try to work this out better. CC all you want. Please give me some suggestions? Or maybe I should post this in the Raw Processing section. Will ask Moderators to move this!

what's a good setting on a rebel for a club shot? Manual mode will give me blurry shots (handshake). What about if I increase the shutter speed? Would that help

2nd shoot... THis is free. I am not charging the parent and she is going to hire a pro...

As mentioned above, I have one light and one flash. I just can't help but get shadows or harsh color on the left. I have the ab800 on the right, the reflector on the left, and the 430ex on the camera.

Could you tell me what you do if you are using one light and one flash? Add your pics and comments.

On the first shot quick tip would be to put that 430 behind the model and backlight her or put it behind and above her head just don't get it too far in front of her face. You can even bounce the flash from an angle from behind her too. To me it looks like too much flash and not enough ambient even at 1/60 try draging the shutter more or lower the flash power adjust iso.
