That's awesome the lens worked so well for your concert, DocMike. My question for you is how do you get your SLR into the concert venue? The only place I can get mine in are hole in the wall places that don't care what you bring in!

velasco Member 201 posts Joined Jun 2006 Location: Singapore More info | Hey all! I just did some test shots at the zoo. I dont know if my lens is a good copy or not, how do I check?
Should I be satisfied? why is the 55-250mm so bad under natural light(maybe Singapore's zoo being shaded doesn't help). like i was shooting at ISO 400 , widest aperture and the shutter speed cannot even go beyond 1/250 at zoo or it will be underexposed 60% of my photos are very soft.So now I'm shooting most stuffs using the manual focus in the hopes to get things a tad sharper.

You will notice that long lenses that can focus well in low light are VERY expensive (Canon's F2.8L zooms/tele's for instance). Canon 450D/XSi (Retired), Canon 70D, Canon 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 STM, Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 EF-S IS, Canon 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 EF-S IS, Canon 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 EF II, Sigma 30mm F1.4, 430EX Mk I, Canon Powershot S2 IS, Canon Powershot S90 IS, Sigma 1.6x closeup lens.
