All taken at London Zoo a few weeks ago.

This 1st shot is quite heavily cropped.

Say hi to Kevin Schwantz aboard his 93 500 GP title winning RGV500. No time, will post **** loads of photos over the weekend (hopefully). Its a little overprocessed but I'm squeezing time so left it like that.

Ha, my Uncle used to ride with Kevin. Great guy. His parents own a place down in Texas too -- Their guest house is wicked to stay in!

Good seeing a picture of him, it has been years. Thanks for sharing!

Does this look over-exposed? Or about right? I have my monitor calibrated but have not printed anything...

Anyone use a hood with this lens at all?

yeah, it sucks. Due to the design of the hood attachment is is very difficult to install and remove as it applies force to the focus gears. It is also very large and makes the lens hard to place in a bag.

I think if I had to do it over again, I would get a foldable rubber hood rather than the Canon hood.

Grasp the focus ring to prevent rotation when installing the hood. If the hood is in the stored position (reversed on the lens), fully extend the lens with the zoom ring and hold the focus ring when removing the hood. Doable but I agree it's still a pain.

Thanks guys for the input, I'll hold off for a bit on a hood. I like the rubber idea.

Here is the very 1st shot I took with the lens (just bought the lens):
