Probably this is the best telezoom lens in the world for low budget. Anything superior is at least $ 350/- dearer. Salute to this lens.

Just capture anything of your choice with it:

IMAGE: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4061/4391570164_0deee657a4.jpg

Captured in RAW and pp in Lightroom.

The only thing you won't be able to shoot with this lens is action in low light. For that purpose expensive pro lens is a must.

Wow, nice bald eagle! You just proved that old saying about how it is not about the gear. Half the 100-400L owners are jealous of that shot!

What kind of extension tubes can we use with this lens? I was under the impression (probably wrong) that extension tubes/lenses can't be used with EF-S lenses. See my sig for my camera.

There are some newer ones that can. I actually prefer the high quality closeup lenses, though. I used a Sony VCL-M3358 with this lens and could get greater than 1:1 mag and retain AF. Similar high quality ones are the Canon 250D and 500D. They just screw onto the front like a UV filter and provide very high quality closeups.

You can use either of Canon's newer series II EF12mm, or EF25mm extension tubes on EF-S lenses.
