I acquired this lens in a trade with a fellow POTN'er and I'm really impressed with it so far. These were taken last weekend during one of our 'flying sessions' at a local park.

Dirk

Ahhhhhhhhh... brings back very fond memories of my days working at JFK International. Thanks.

I hope you don't mind, but I've been trying to hone my photoshop skills, which are practically nil, so I ran one of your photos through. Just upped the saturation a tad, did a noise reduction in Neat Image, and sharpened a bit. This is the result. I'd love comments, as I have not really used photoshop CS2 to its best advantage over the years. That's mainly because I couldn't be bothered learning, but now I'm trying. This was actually more for me, than for you.

You are so going to love that lens. I know I do.

Thanks Annie!

Looks good :) TBH however, I purposefully left the contrast quite low to have it look a little 'washed out' and almost sun-aged.. Didn't spend a lot of time on it (really <3 minutes).. I use CS5, though for all of these I was lazy and actually just ran them through Lightroom 3..

CS2 is an awesome, simply laid out piece of software though! PLENTY of power if you can learn how to harness it.. I've spend YONKS in that programme.. I actaully did 95% of the pictures on my website (www.deksminerals.co.za (external link)) with it.. Mostly just cropping, auto levels/contrast etc etc..

Now I have my 'pro' camera though, I can see I'm going to be burning my eyes at the computer screen a lot more on my new CS5 and shots to come!

Dirk
