Hi guys! I'm almost bouncing up and down as I type this: after penny pinching for months, I received my brand new 55-250 in the mail! I can't wait to test it outside tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who posted the lovely pictures that influenced me to buy this lens.

One must use a banana to eat a fork.

The IS is only activated during focus lock and firing.

Decided to play with my new combination warming (81A) and circular polarizer filter today. I'm really liking it, especially given the harsh light we have here in South Florida.

Amazing how we can see right down to the bottom of the pond. It's not all that deep, but deep enough when we have to deal with reflections and glare on the water.

Some of these people need to make sure they didnt actually use an L lens to take these great sharp photos! This lens is magical for the price and man to be able to hand hold a camera again sure is magic to me.
