I had the 55-250 for over two years...and have some posts in this thread. For the money it is hard to beat. I now have the 70-200 F/4 L IS and will tell you that the difference is well worth the price. The 55-250 is a great little lens on a limited budget. The 70-200 is truly the NEXT LEVEL. mathogre Goldmember  More info | I just used mine a couple nights ago. I have the 24-70L, but it doesn't have the reach of the Nifty Two-Fifty. Normal and 100% crop. Enjoy!   Graham
