I have to admit I don't really give this lens any love anymore. I brought a Tamron 70-300mm VC, which I think is much sharper, focuses faster but also enormous, compared to the 55-250mm.
Because of pictures like the above, and the fact that the 55-250mm is a great lightweight zoom, I just can't bear to sell it :-D

I know I just posted a moon shot but here's another, taken just a few mins into the new year. I added the hint of blue myself. What looks like a star field just image noise from the higher iso.
