Is this a good lens for the zoo? I have it and its in for repairs right now, but I really want to go shoot some wildlife, which unfortunately is only at the zoo for me lol

Hi,

Not quite the zoo, but I just spent a great day at The Hawk Conservancy Trust testing out this lens..

I am astonished with the sharpness of this lens, especially wide open and at 250mm. This one was shot at 250m, F5.6, at 1/125. The first is the full size, and the second shot is the 100% crop, very little PP done, and no additional sharpening done. They were taken on a 30D.
