Very nice captures! The sharpness in these pictures is just amazing. I've never gotten anything this sharp from my copy of the lens!

Would love to see the basic EXIF data if you've got it. Also, did you shoot these in RAW or JPG? Any PP, or are these straight from the camera?

Both shot in RAW. Very little (if any?) PP on the goose. The canoe picture that you quoted did have some sharpening and saturation adjustments, the other canoe picture is straight out of the camera.

www.shadyhugs.smugmug.com (external link) has those photos with EXIF data. Dunno why that data didn't transfer when I linked them from there.

I don't do much PP to my shots mostly because I still don't really know how.

If there is plenty of daylight, then it won't disappoint. However, the focusing might be a bit on the slow side, but overall, it should be able to produce some nice action pics.

Here's a couple from today. Both shot JPEG with a touch (50% Radius 1.0) of Unsharp mask applied. Uncropped.

You will love it. The sharpness of this relatively cheap lens just astonishes me!

This is an awesome lens for the money and it rarely leaves my 40D.

Shot this one a couple of minutes ago. RAW converted straight to JPG in Photoshop, no PP. 131mm at F5, 1/1250 sec ISO 400.
