I'd recognize that sign anywhere! Good old Providence, RI. I'm pretty sure my HS senior prom was held there... and we took the elevator that (used to, anyway) ride up the outside of the building.

I had the same thing with this lens when I owned one. Works great at shorter focusing distance, but farther away the detail is lost. Yeah, but for $200 for a beginner like me, it's a dream. Imagine how amazed I will be when I use my first L zoom! Gear: 350D, nifty fifty, kit lens, nifty two-fifty (55-250 IS).
