Well, I have to be at work for the next while, so I'll make a decision now. Oh my, how do I pick a winner out of all these, everything is so well done from a variety of concepts.

BBoi. The satire was not lost on me. I did find the humour, but you did post two pics. :)

prcstn8. Your pic is is the the closest to what I would have done. I just love the stratification of the snow and ice boulders on the far side of the bank.

Old man Dan. The color of the flower really jumped out at me. The child's curiosity, hidden by a vagueness really pulled me in.

Edd S. The clarity and definition are really off the scale.

DreDaze. The color of the pic just grabs you and doesn't let go.

Stanley_ Pope. An amazing shot on the solitude and patience of the hunter.

Jpe. Yes, you did get creative. I enjoyed what you did with the egg yolk

benarnold. Just as I was sitting down to organize some thought and decide, this pic arrives. Another shot with great definition and color.

I really do think the top four pics are top notch, nothing to separate them except concept. All pics are within size limits and all have a title. The only way that I could decide is by how long the pic held my attention. So....

1st place. Edd s- delayed spring.

2nd place. ben arnold - pushing up.

3rd place. Od Man Dan. - Dandelions are in the yard.

Everybody else...well done!! Verry little to seperate the pics, all are wonderfull.

Congratulations to the winners, its nice to see some spring growth, it has snowed hard here for the last 36 hours so I will not see a blade of grass for a long time.

Wow! Thanks for the first place vote!

We had a bad ice storm just as some trees were budding out a short while back. But it did make for some pretty pictures.

Spring is threatening to burst forth once again here in southern Illinois - I think it will make it this time.

The new contest will be up very shortly. I want to see a lot of participation!

I so happy! Thanks for the vote also!
My grandchildren are (of course) my favorite subject in life and duty. Having them 2 days a week I like to keep the parents abreast of what they did at my house that day.

While 1st placed Edd S's is phenomal I really wish BBoi would have shot in one pic - that would have been a shoe in for me. Did BBoi do it on purpose thinking it to funny to be serious? Regardless I liked the humor, it did keep me chuckling all week long if I thought about it.

Take humour in any oppurtunity that shows itself, the next act in the drama might not have any.
