This is a model of the Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd ship Radiance of the Seas. It is a builder's model - custom made when the ship was launched and presented to the owners (RCCL) by the shipyard. It is approximately 8' long. I thought you guys would like to see a view of a ship that was a bit different!

I like the shots, very simple. That model boat is out of this world, I never saw anything like it with so much detail. It must have took a couple of months to make.

Thank you Jlozano ! I liked keeping the shots very simple... there was not much I could do with no background, lights, etc... just had my camera in the office with me before dawn, and the lighting looked right! The detail is awesome - the model is valued at over $250,000 US from what I hear.

It looks that way doesn't it? ;) They are extremely stable, and very efficient. If you look at the hull carefully you can see the stabilizer wings which prevent side to side roll. Passenger safety and comfort are paramount on these beautiful ships.

It sure is...of course, the ship itself cost a great deal!! In the hundreds of millions of dollars. And it is totally custom made in every detail, all by hand. Imagine what it would cost to replace the model if something happened to it!
