When I store pictures taken with my G1, I only store the CRW file, not the thm file.
Can someone tell me if I need to store the thm file too? Does the thm file give me additional exif information?

They also contain the EXIF information, so I'd keep them around. They are all but 8Kb files, so it's not like they are a burden.

It works just fine without them. But what is true is that those files contains the EXIF information and are actually small JPG pictures like thumbniles with odd extension.
