Just got a 5D and was testing it out to find that I can't use Remote Capture with the new Mac 10.5.2 OS.

I called Canon today and they confirmed that the 5D does not work with remote capture in Mac OS 10.5. No word on a fix.

I believe it also affects Capture One Pro on 10.5 as I was unable to complete exposing an image in COne and saving the image in the computer. It would shoo the image but it did not save an image.

If anyone out there is on 10.5 and using remote capture, I would like to know

Thanks,
Pete

Hello, just found your thread, I was wondering if you have found any solutions
to this major problem.

My 5D2 freezes in capture utility frequently on leopard
It doesn't on tiger???

Surely we're not the only people out there to have this problem???

I've contacted Canon Australia they're contacting China, i'll keep you posted

It (10.5.6) doesn't freeze when shooting tethered but it freezes as soon as I use Live View with my 5D Mk II and EOS Utility (2.5.1.1). It is so bad that I have to restart the whole machine or EOS Utility won't even restart after a crash.
