wonderful what was your set up. Did you apply any sharpening to these. If you didn't it could make just a slight difference, not that they aren't perfect as they are!

Hey there. I applied "landscape" sharpening in Lightroom, and "standard" output (for screen display) sharpening when converting to JPEG from Lightroom. I use the presets because I really don't understand all the nuances of sharpening, so if you have any sharpening suggestions I'd appreciate it. :D

A little overkill on the height of the boom arm, but here are a couple of shots of my setup:

I'm pretty sure the height of the splash is relative to the depth of the bowl and not from the height from which the droplet is dropped. That said, KUDOS on getting that aerial rig set up. What harness did you use? :)

Cheers,
Mark.

I had no idea about the bowl depth thing. :o So, am I assuming correctly that the shallower the depth of the bowl, the higher the splash?

Why the long tube for the milk. The 'weight' behind the droplet is not measured by the distance but that of the amount of milk 'behind' it. That means the max influence will only be at the nozzle end irrespective of distance of the reservoir.

Nice shot...

Mark.

Thanks man, I know how you feel though. I've literally taken 1000's of shots and still only gotten a couple of decent collision shots that I'm happy with!

That cracks me up.

It's amusing to think of racking-up, say, 50,000 shutter actuations and coming away with about 100 keepers.

But it's got to be fun if you have the patience for it. Heck, I spend 8 years pruning single trees for some people until something satisfactory finally comes to pass.
