Take camera, get some candid photos ;)

Yeah. I was going to go planespotting (we'll be at Mascot) but I'm thinking it will be too late in the day for that. Might be able to get some nice long exposures though, if I can remember my tripod.. unlike certain other photographic expiditions on unnamed local beaches..

Nice one! My son (13 this year) plays soccer. I'm keen to give the 70-200 a go this season - only had the 750-300 last season and struggled a bit.

So, the reason why I sold my Off Camera Cord, is to buy a new modified one from Michael Bass Designs - an Off Camera Cord 2, with a dedicated E-TTL hotshoe on the top of it. It allows me to a) use a flash on camera while having a second one at arm's length, but more useful, b) can dock my flash on the camera when I don't need it on a cord!! :D

I used the 70-200 last weekend at the Jets training session about 5 metres back from the fence and it worked pretty good. I'm looking at a teleconverter to get a bit more reach though when the actions on the opposite side.

I don't know how many of you firefox users use this already, but I found it tonight and it looks bloody awesome - it's a firefox addon called PicLens:

"PicLens instantly transforms your browser into a full-screen 3D experience for viewing images across the web. Our new interactive "3D Wall" lets you effortlessly drag, click, and zoom your way around a wall of pictures for an extraordinary viewing experience. The new search box lets you search the Web in full-screen using Google, Yahoo, SmugMug, Flickr, Photobucket, and DeviantArt. Just type a query and view all the results in the PicLens wall."

Used it for a little while but it looked pretty crappy on my monitor. Has potential though.

I used that for a bit, but it bogs my comp down pretty good.

Thanks for the link old fart but i'll probably get the 1.4x because i'll lose AF with a 2x i think i've read. The kenko one's seem like a good deal and alot cheaper than a canon one.

Morning All! How are we today! Tangcla, The Nikon D3 actually looks like a really good camera, If I was offered one, I think I would take it :p.

I have used piclens, I actually like it quite a bit. Didn't slow the computer down at all.

Welby - I have the Kenko x2 Pro and like to a lot. AF loss depends on your lens. If I use it on my 24-70L F2.8 I have AF. If I use it on my 100-400L no go.

If you can get F5.6 with the x2 you should get AF still. My 100-400 is F11 min.

I would assume that Mark wants the use the TC on his 70-200 f/4L. Losing 2 stops will put you at f/8, so it wont AF on anything below a 1series.
