I for one will be interested to see how it goes! I'm working my way down the list of things I want and a monitor calibrator is coming up soonish...

heh yeah I have the spyder3 here... the only thing I can see of benefit is that it does ambient light control... but I think (and i'm far too lazy to confirm) that you have to calibrate it for all the ambient light conditions and it'll auto swap between the configurations.

but yeah... went from spyder 2 with pro software to spyder 3 pro.

I need to get a monitor calibration device. I think I've got it close, but I'm sure it'll prove me wrong.

it's suprising how off it can be... even between calibrations...

I reformatted my machine and didn't recalibrate for about 2 months. Screen looked ok... all pics looked fine. calibrated, and it shows a before/after... and it's like.... ooooo

Angus, I guess I should have also asked when you plan on selling the PWs...

Edit: I've also looked at your gear list. Where the hell does one get a photographic umbrella? I've been looking for a while now.

Hey guys and girls.

Took Florence swimming with Chris (eXc450) this morning. Well, through a few deep bits of water anyway. And some tricky bits of slippery off-road tracks. Well, tricky for a newbie (me).

Have a couple of pics, Chris has more (he was leading in his beast). Will post mine later :)

Enjoy the rest of your Saturdays!

Hmm, now that I've got the lens I've been after early in the year. Things might be looking good for getting another 4x4 myself for later this year. They're great fun arnt they Luke! Here's my old Tommy the Toyo in action.

Well, all mine came from mpex.com - ordered with the Strobist stuff.

try eBay. I got my white shoot-through ones from there. I think it was about $8 or $12 each? (I have two).

Got my silver reflective ones when I was in HK, with my cheap light stands.

Thanks for the suggestions. Wouldn't be doing this for a little anyway, until I get the PW's at least. Got a bit of time...
