You've all set up Paypal accounts and had them linked to your CBA bank account right? Why am I being paranoid about sticking my details in there? There's nothing to worry about at all, is there? I just want to get some stuff off Ebay in the US but can't quite bring myself to put my bank details into the 'verify your account' bit.

do what I did and open an account just for internet buying and selling and only puts funds in there as you're spending it and withdraw funds as soon as you get them

Mine has been linked to my bank account for a few years now, and I haven't had any problems. Between car stuff and camera gear I've probably put close to $5,000 through my Paypal account. As long as you're careful with passwords and stuff (my paypal one is completely different to my bank one, for example, and I change them regularly) you should be fine.

A lot of US sellers won't even let you bid if you aren't paypal verified.

Bought a 50-500. Arrived damaged. Was told to return it for repair or replacement. Once they got it back, told I would have to pay for repair or replacement. After a few months of argumentative emails they returned it FOC. To be fair, I would give them another go as I reckon the package was dropped by a courier or something.

Hey guys, thought I'd just drop in and see if anyone is interested...

I'm selling my Sigma 10-20 lens. 3 months old, bought new from Rainer's Camera House in Brisbane. Comes with box, manual, original hood and lens case, and the purchase receipt and clean warranty card for you to hold should it need repairs for whatever reason further down the track. Lens is in as new condition.

I'm chasing $500 + postage.

Hi all,
Is anyone after a 24-105L from a 24-70L? I'm looking for a 24-70L, so we could do a swap if you're interested. Mine comes in pristine condition with box, hood etc. and has always had a UV filter on it from day one.

Angus, I guess I should have also asked when you plan on selling the PWs...

Edit: I've also looked at your gear list. Where the hell does one get a photographic umbrella? I've been looking for a while now.

Not sure when i want to sell the PWs or even if i do its more a look out type thing. I may keep them for a while to see how the poppers are reviewed. I got the brolly from Dragon Image in Melbourne but they have stores in Sydney and you can get them from Camera House or ebay too.
