Never judge a person till you walk a mile in their shoes - by then it won't matter. You are a mile away and they have no shoes.

I used a polarizing filter on my Olympus digital camera every now and then which seemed to define things like clouds in the sky a little better on outdoor shots. I have also heard of UV filters but I don't know what they are all about. Are polarizing filters worth using when doing outdoor photography and what do UV filters do? (In 25 words or less)

Especially anything to do with sports. Never judge a person till you walk a mile in their shoes - by then it won't matter. You are a mile away and they have no shoes.

Slightly. They lower the amount of light into the lens by a tiny fraction of a stop and increase flaring. But not by much, especialy on the Pro level ones. Angus
