Ahhhh...... The 50/1.4 is soooo much nicer than the 50/1.8..... it just feels like an actual lens! And the focus ring is sooooo much easier to use and it has Full time manual focus.... Damn I feel better now :)

Just dont drop your camera and have it all land on your 50 1.4

Its a pain in the a$$ to take apart and attempt to fix a warped lens barrel...

Wasnt me, was my dad when we were in Melbourne. The strap of his 5D got caught on something as went to pick it up and down it went, lens first thank goodness. We took it apart, removed a few things to get the AF going. Its a touch slower but its still sharp as and it AFs fine.

If it were me, it would have been the 1.8 getting destroyed so I wouldnt have been too fussed :lol:
