Oh I'm up ;) but wife has booked a brunch with friends who are visiting from Sydney.

Just chatted with her ... we'll grab brunch on Beaumont and I'll come over to see you at 11am.

Easy :)

I'm guessing you used direct flash here? It'd be worth standing back a bit (if you can) and bouncing, ideally with a bounce card so you get a larger catchlight in their eyes.

No, it looks like bounce flash. The light is definitely too soft for direct flash.
The shadows also fall quite low, so I'm guessing it was done without the bounce card :)

Nice, Adam :)

Awesome pets!!

That said, soft light isn't the greatest for picking up textures ;)

Direct flash, using my high-tech plastic-film-cannister-diffuser. Luke, got any links to howtos for using bounce cards with onboard flash? :)

Afternoon all. I feel that I've been lazy with this whole photo tax idea...

This should do me for a month. ;) World Youth Day - Easter Service (external link). Oh, and I've been approached by today's Public Affairs Officer, and also one of the ADF WYD Organisers. They want photos for the Australian Defence Force Website. :D  Sure it's not paid, but I'm starting to get known within this organisation...

Which, if I recall, you were the only one to oppose?

Tho you've been paying your taxes anyway :p

Yeah, and with her awesome personality - from where I am now, it's really easy to see how I totally fell for her.

Hey again.

Wanted to say thanks to Jim for organising the batteries and collection this morning. The lack of coffee was a little disappointing tho ;)

If anyone has time, would you care to check out my new home page?

I just put a DHTML slideshow on it. Keen to make sure it's a pleasant experience for everyone ...

Looks nice Luke! Mind explaining how you created the slideshow?
