Nice to see a happy ending to a story like this. About 14 years ago my house was burglarized while we were out of town and my whole kit was stolen - two FD bodies and all my lenses (as well as the electronics from out of the house). The cameras and lenses were never recovered, but at least my renter's insurance covered my loss and I got new cameras and lenses.

As far as her story of the lens "dropping" I wouldn't want to be the one to buy a lens that fell out of a car onto the parking lot.
