What you think? I went way far then came back to this basic look. I need this look with black dress straight hair and a big tattoo to fit my style. This look changed about 5 times over night. Updated changed to my BW version, now she looks like the vampire I envisioned.

I love her dress and the placement of her arms, as they create a very flattering silhouette. I think her legs look a little awkward and I would have lightened the shadow on the left side of her face.

Well that would ruin the dramatics of the single light plus I would lose detail in that area.

Understood, I just feel like her left eye is lost.

The akward legs are my doing, I usually want the models to break the mold and do funky stuff.

i don't think the selective color works with this. selective color is supposed to draw your eye into the focal point of the image. here, my eye goes right to her dress and her face gets lost within the background.

Yikes, her eyes are red as well? This photo doesn't have a comfortable feeling to it.it doesn't have a flow? Just me. I know its for a tat..but it still show look evocative.sexy..this one just lacks something...

There are tons of other ways to gain distinctiveness. The legs make her uncomfortable and gawky. It is impossible to look at her without feeling uncomfortable. I can't imagine anyone trying for this effect and I certainly don't believe that anyone would actually stand this way, can you?

I agree. I like the black and white composition, the model is very attractive and the lighting is nicely done but the red dress draws my eye away from her face.

Haha well I think as I was working on this I was reminded of how this young lady looked like the eldest vampire on the first Underworld movie that gets killed on the train, thats the look I was going for. Still messing with this, she has goosebumps in the photo and in high res I was very happy with the sharpness, that left eye is a copy from the right to bring it out of the shadow more too. Still working this image cause I really love it.
