Kinda neat how the tail blends in with the sky. It really does look like a whale. Cool shot.

YEP - definately a A300-Beluga... no doubt delivering wings.. and you got blue sky in Wales as well... that's more than we've got here!

Only seen 1 of those flying over Manchester, I think going to the Airbus factory taking wings.

How high would you say that was, and more importantly, what lens/focal length was it. It would be interesting to take photos of aircraft at cruising height, but I'm not sure if my lens setup is enough to resolve them to that much detail.

Interesting shot - I'd love to see one of those IRL. Truly a remarkable feat of engineering :p

All were taken on a 400d with the sigma 70-300 APO.All were cropped but they still show a good amount of detail
