I thought some pics showing the difference of the chdk hack would be of use.
All shots were in manual, no flash, awb in auto, iso 100, neutral colors, 3072x2304. The post processing was all done in Picasso, no elements or photoshop
I found as general conclusion that the pics in jpg came out with a bluish tint, and a bluish tint that was hard for me to remove after the fact. The raw "crw" files came out a little gloomier I thought, but they were very easy to make corrections to make the colors come out.
The same perspective was not strictly adhered to but should be pretty close. This first pic is a jpeg, second pic a crw, of a treadway of an old building. Both pics were enhanced through Picasso.
The second set is of a door handle on the same building, same sort of results. Bluish tint on jpeg.
I did not get the shutter and fstop info, not anal retentive enough to bring a notebook, might have to start ! but they would have been consistent in both shots.
I really don't know why the pics came out bluish on the jpegs....part of the jpeg compression program? Part of the nuance of being a entry level canon?
I will try to get some more pics up after I get a little more proficient with camera.
