I thought I'd recommend a book here about negotiating. It's called Secrets of Power Negotiating.

Now although the title sounds like it's complete crap, if you can get 1 good negotiating nugget out of it, it will pay for the $11.

I've done a lot of negotiating in the Internet space from a consulting point of view, and procurement (negotiating buying websites). A lot of the items in the book were very relevant, and even more poignant were some of the sales techniques in the books that I recognized had been used against me.

Anyhow, with the pervasive 'how much should i charge' threads in this section, I thought that new business owners, and even old hats who find negotiating goes mushy sometimes, I'd highly recommend they check it out.

I saved $700 the other day on a domain name purchase simply by using the "invoking the higher power" technique, which I never would have tried prior.

anyhow, for better or worse, take a look

Edit: FYI I am in no way associated with this book, nor is their any sort of referral code in the link.
