This Mallard drake is exactly 3 1/2 times bigger than the next biggest duck in our lake system, hes really a chow hound and goes by the name Baby Huey !
I had to get a photo of him because a picture is worth a thousand words.

Hay Dale, he looks big, and bottom heavy, but it's hard to tell with no other duck around to compare him to. :)

A great name for this monster duck, and as Mitch stated, would be nice to see him with another duck. steve

He has to be a cross with something, but kept the Mallard markings. It can happen. :)

He'd be something to try and capture for breeding purposes. He might be the grandfather of a whole new line of birds. :)

The duck is a Rouen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rouen_duck (external link)

The Rouen resembles a Mallard (external link): they have green heads, white collars, a deep claret breast and blue speculum feathers (external link), but they are brighter in colour and larger in size than Mallards. In North America (external link), two distinct types are bred: the common or production-bred variety that is larger than a Mallard but has a typical duck conformation (external link); and the much larger and squarer standard-bred variety. The production variety normally weighs 6–8 lbs (2.7–3.6 kg) while the standard-bred weighs 9–12 lb (4.1–5.4 kg).
