I have gotten the 1620, and decided to try the Foam inserts until I can get the padded dividers for it.

I was able to allocate space for my bodies and lenses by removing the foam sticks from the foam layer, and did the same through the two other lower layers.

My problem now, is that every time I put the cameras or take them out, each one of the mini cells of the Foam board (each one of the individual foam cells, start getting lose, and the entire thing begins to lose shape.

The only solution I can think of, is using some spray glue to keep all three foam layers together, and thus give the entire assembly a bit more strength.

Any experiences? thoughts?...

Would be greatly appreciated

What kind of spray glue did you use and how long does it take to cure? I tried using adhesive spray I bought from Micheal's used for mounting on foam core and that stuff did not work at all.

You really need the dividers. They will make life a lot easer. I learned
that a long time ago. I have six Pelican cases and they all have dividers.

Dividers are nice, but they do not work for every situation. I use my Pelican cases for video equipment, so small things like wireless transmitters, mics, and batteries would bang around inside the dividers. Whereas with foam, they would be safely isolated in foam.

I've used 3M Super 77 spray adhesive before for different things with good experience.

Some cameras, some lenses, plenty of gaffer's tape and beer.

I bought a can of the 3M Super 77 adhesive spray today and it worked beautifully.

Now can anyone give me any recommendations to seal the top layer? Some sort of acrylic spray maybe?

Exactly why most buy the padded dividers when we buy pelican cases...
