I have and love my 100 macro, but it's too heavy for me right now. B&Hs site says the 60 is 11.8" I'm assuming they mean ozs not inches. But at 11oz vs 1.35 pounds, how noticable is the difference?

There are many choices if the Canon 100 macro is too heavy: Tamron 90, SIgma 105, Sigma 70, etc.

I'm a firm believer of getting from the horse's mouth.

11.8 oz (0.74 lb) is a bit more than 1/2 of 1.35 lb

Hi
It is 11.8 oz vs 21.6 oz just less than half the weight. the weight of your camera is the heavier part of your setup. Sorry that you are having problems, hope that things improve sooner than later.
