I bought a 32" rolling duffel bag from Wal Mart today for $12. Big enough to hold my tripod, two light stands, two umbrella and still had room to spare. I couldn't find a picture of it online though... it is similar to this without the bottom compartment and plastic handle.

Thanks TXLEBER,

Just ordered that one: http://www.musiciansfriend.com …6500-Stand-Bag?sku=548502 (external link)

My 13' stands are 43" long. 50" should work well.

I don't use the bag I posted the link for. I just saw someone post it over on FM. I'm using a Big a$$ Rubermaid container that holds all of my gear. 4 light stands, backdrop stand, 3 lights, modifiers, umbrellas and 3 backdrops. I paid $15 for the container.

I used it on my first on location shoot and it was nice to have a consolidated place to put all of the empty bags and misc equipment while I had everything set up. The only negative was that it was HEAVY!! Definitely a 2 person lift. I'm thinking on getting the bags just to split up the weight.

I have a Lightware bag that fits all my camera gear, both of my Bogen nano stands, umbrella, flashes, etc. I got it for free though - borrowing it from the boss.

I keep my two 580EX's and clamps in my $7M Home. Along with my 30D, 70-200, and chargers, batteries, etc.

Probably not what you're looking for, but this is the poor man's strobe setup.

You've got a 7 million dollar home but a poor man's strobist setup?

I keep my 580ex II, diffusers, Honl snoot and some gels in my go everywhere Domke F2. A couple of Sunpak 444d's, clamps and the rest of the stuff in a smaller older Domke that I've had as long as the 444d's. Bumbershots and stands stay in the car.

I've been searching for a good bag for a while, but all the bags that are 30" long are also too wide and too deep. So I finally thought of looking for a baseball bat bag!

I found this bag at a local Sports Authority for $20. It fits everything in there with room to spare. I could probably add in two more lightstands later on.

I think I just need some more compact light stands. I have the Photoflex but they are just a little to long. Thanks for all the great ideas. I really appreciate it.

I love the look of all the inexpensive but professional bags that y'all have.

Here's mine:
http://dotlinecorp.net …Path=320&products_id=3344 (external link)

Came with my first studio strobe setup. Holds 3 monolights, 4-5 flashes, three 20' PC cords, three 20' power cords, six 8' light stands with umbrella adapters, three 40" umbrellas, 2 tripods, hundreds of batteries, chargers, gels, etc. It feels really compact but well-built.

Just my 2 cents...
