Hey gang!
I just made flights to take my wife to NYC next week for a one day tour. I arrive at LGA at 7:30am and my flight leaves at 7:45 that same evening.
I want to tour, see (and photograph) as much as possible.
Any suggestions?
I was thinking about starting at Central Park--hitting the highlights and heading south--

The things I want to hit along the way:
Grand Central Station
Times Square
Wall Street
Ground Zero
Little Italy
China Town

No need to do the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island---we did those a few years ago while doing a NJ trip.

Any an all help would be appreciated.

B&H photo is a real experience - just go there to see it even if you don't need anything. Sounds like you have crammed an awful lot of sites in one day. I suggest relaxing and taking your time at only a few places. Between eating and travel, I am not so sure you can do all that. I say skip wall street and one of the ethnic neighborhoods. I don't know about ground zero if there is still something to see. I think I read somewhere that they are building up the area and it looks like a regular construction site.

Went to Ground Zero last year.....nothing to "see", but wanted to go anyway...as did my out of town guests....

I'd skip Little Italy....IMNSHO, Chinatown is more photographic....

Take a double-decker tour bus...

I'd say take the Circle line around Manhattan, but I think it's better to do it from the street.
