Stop buying more than one item at a time

It never cease to amaze me how someone will buy two of the same item and test them out and return the other one. This creates increased costs for the resellers, manufacturers and they pass the costs on to us.

Buy something, if it screws up send it back.

What am I missing here that someone can justify this?

Not to mention it gives the next person a lens or body where someone else has already unpacked it and rubbed the new out.

Absolutely agree.

It must be a guy thing, I have to be the first to break through the packaging...certainly if I have bought something as new, I would hate that 'another' had been there before me.

Is that really common? I have never heard of it. Another sysmptom of paranoia methinks.

I see it more often these days. I'll read about some guy who bought a couple lenses, tested them, sent the other ones back. Mk.III bodies where they buy two or three hoping to get one faster than their friend. It ties up 2 bodies to one customer so that the person who wants to buy can't due to "out of stock" as the returned item has to be sold as refurb'd or is not back in the mix for a month or so.

Painful to read.

Sounds like the right answer to me.

Here's something worse than that. Girls buying a prom dress, wearing it to the prom, and then returning it. My kids know girls that have done it.

And then I go and buy the dress that someone has already worn! I know it has happened to me...
