Loose lens

My G2 has a loose lens. If extended you can take the silver portion of the lens and get a fair amount of movement. Anyone else have a similar situation...is it normal?

Camera takes excellent pictures by the way.

A certain amount of play is perfectly normal. If your images aren't being affected, you don't have a problem. It it appears to be impacting image quality, then I'd have it checked. FWIW, SLR lenses often have some play between themselves and the camera body.

The G6 has a wobbly front lens element/section but I've read everyone else's is the same. Must be part of the design?
