Bought me this trigger/receiver set
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk …EWAX:IT&item=190236514298 (external link)

About £14 which is nothing. :) Just setup and made sure both work with a 580EX II and 430EX setup which is not half bad. Going to get maybe two more receivers so I can trigger everything wirelessly rather than Canon's optical system. Seem to work ace so far. Need to test them out some more.

I didn't read on the specs that the 430EX was compatible...is it?
I wouldn't mind getting a cactus trigger and playing with my 430EX off camera. That would be great practice before I build up a studio set.

Yah, I tried my 430EX, 580EX II and my 430EZ and no problems what so ever. Checked the PC sync port too and also, spot on.

Within 5 minutes, I was good to go. Very good little number.

haha, you know I just sold a set of those Gadget Infinity radio triggers and receivers Manish... they have a hotshoe on it so you don't need a PC sync cord. :p

I hope you know im not Manish

Its nice to have the connect for PC sync but I doubt I would really use it since the hotshoe works just fine. Might go pick up my lightstands tomorrow.

Either that or a car rig.

I know Mitesh, but Manish was after a set, wasn't he?

In other news, I bought some optical cable, trying to re-do my RadioPopper leads. :p

The ability to do high-speed sync, and E-TTL and/or power ratio adjustments on the fly ;)

And here, I thought it was OK to be me. Boy, was I wrong... :(

I just barely received my second 580. I think that radio poppers are probably the way to go, should I need to have distance for the flashes. But, I'd still have to get an ST-E2 to use them....so, now I'm adding to the bill.

I guess for now, I can just use the two 580's in tandem, and get a light meter, to be able to adjust them on the fly, when needed.

Other than that, I have no idea what the hell I am doing...this is why I am on vacation, for the week. I needed some mental health time. . .

Clarence, I was thinkin' PW's might be the best solution. Buy them once, and done. Maybe I'll need strobes, for the studio, soon, and the PW's will most likely control them. Unless there's another device...let me know. I'll consider it.

Cheers...and I've been playing with the two flashes. I like it!

Brad - what's your camera rig like? Take a photo of that :) would love to do one but never got around to it.

How are these attached to the car?

I would send you my triggers for you to play with but bit too far away  I might go for some PW's later but for now, these will do since its working for now till I get some more dedicated studio lights AND some space for working. :(

Thanks for the offer...and yeah, it's a 'tad' far for that...haha.

I'll be looking into more options. For now, the two flashes will do...and I still have come b'day money to spend on Amazon. Though, I haven't figured out what the hell to do with it...haha.
