Brad - what's your camera rig like? Take a photo of that :) would love to do one but never got around to it.

How are these attached to the car?

Its 2 suction cup's with a 12ft alum. boom. Some people use a tri mounting system or even a tripod. My rig has been a constant evolution over the last 2 years, just gotta be enginuitive.

A question for you 5 users. I started looking at the 5 with the rumors of the new version. My question, do you have to basically go with the L series lenses to fully benifit? It will be out of my price range if so.
Thanks

Above and beyond IQ, there is a technical issue involved: EF-S lenes won't mount on the 5D.

You can create great images on the 5D without L lenses; I've seen many incredible images from 5D's with non-L lenses. Many like the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 on the 5D - you can pick one up used for about $300. And for primes, the 85 1.8 is a killer on the 5D.

Well spank my booty and call me Judy! Canon should make a welfare program...Trade in your existing gear for discounts. I don't know how I'll afford the 5D successor and more L glass...I mean I heard of this thing called a "job" but it sounds fishy...which sounds like sucky flappy noises, cause that's what fish sound like.

I'd highly recommend the Tamron 28-75, performs as good as my 24-70 in alot of aspects and was probably sharper wide open.

*spank* "JUDY!"

i was planing on selling my EF-S lenses, and will probably have to, since i'm not sure how much i'd use a crop body after experiencing full frame. the 17-55 and 10-22 were two really good reasons to stay with crop, so its hard to part with them. selling my crop bodies and crop lenses would make the conversion to full frame easier (i already have some good FF lenses...24-70L, 70-200 f/2.8L IS, 50mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8 ), but when i look at how much getting holy trinity of primes would cost...

i guess gotta take it one thing at a time :D

Pffft...Those lenses will do great on the 5D..IF you're satisfied with crappy IQ!! So you should sell the 24-70L and 70-200L to me for about $500, good deal?

I thought this was a joke, until I read the Q&A section - this ebay seller actually believes this crap! But I guess he will get plenty of offers considering this camera is going to make them serious money - no effort required

Yea, the IQ is pretty shoddy on these two...I really wouldn't want anyone else to experience how bad they are...

:D

p.s. don't you have the 24-105? jokes aside, you'd want the 24-70 too?
