i love my 5D's, and will mourn them when they finally give up the ghost. mine have fair amounts of missing paint, have seen rain and dust, and tens of thousands of shots. still kickin'!

recent pics, exif should be intact for all of 'em (for the curious, the all but one have grain added... grain FTW!):

AI servo is your friend here...but, at 1/100th, at 85mm, and f3.2, you're talkin' disaster. Especially with a moving subject at ISO 800. Bump it to 1K or 1250, and use 1/200th, or so, and check that way. Might stop action a little better.

In the second shot, you can tell the middle of your cat is pretty sharp...I think it's just the timing.

I've got AI servo on, and I panned him pretty well - he's just too erratic!

That's it. Time to upgrade. I say sell me your 16-35, sell your 5D, and then, get a 1D3.

Okay, I am TRYING to post some photos--which I've never done before--and I don't know how
to do it. HELP! Can anyone advise me on how that's done? I've tried the attachment button
but that doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
PhotoSponge

PS...click the Go Advanced button. Once in that screen, then, click on 'Manage Attachments.' The file size has to be pretty small (I think under 150KB) for you to attach here. Otherwise, you'll have to host it in flickr, or photobucket, etc.

Over time I've had the 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, and ID Mk II. The only player with a no trade clause has been the 5D. Can't bring myself to give it up.

Rachel, I like the postprocessing on the last show - the faux bokeh is very dreamy!

I really hate this thread.

I was going to buy one during the rebates, but didn't. Then the retail prices went up a lot.

Now a successor is on the horizon. Wait or buy, wait or buy, wait or buy? LOL

3 years old
still has excellent quality
my lenses have been converted away from ef-s, EF only now.

yay!

moew!!!!!
