^^ I agree...and apologies if I missed commenting on it earlier.

So, who's gettin' a mark II? Aside from Clarence (who mind you, reminds me of a Dragon Ball Z character ).

I think I'm going to start saving up for one...

Ok, a little over the top (well, way over the top) but sometimes the 5DMkI can't quite match the EyeballMkI:

Woah...Jay...umm...that thing is WAY hot. Of course, I'm at a computer at work, so it's not calibrated...but, it seems 'bright.' Let me get home...we'll see.

Eosboy...yeah, I think I might start a budget for it too...and once the other 'job' starts to make money, then, well...who knows what'll be out when all that happens. :)

For now, I'm stickin' with the current one. Simple, easy to use, not too much crap in it...and I know what the images are like, so all good there.

:) the MKI is way too good to give up, if I were to get the MKII, I'd definitely need a worthy backup!

It's definately your monitor .. Yeah, that's it...

(It's not really that bad .. is it?) :(

^^ I dunno...could just be this monitor...I've got dual screens at work...so that may cause some issues. Again, neither is calibrated...so, gimme a couple hours. I'll let you know... :)

And thrash_273...I dunno if you'd find many people willing to give up a 5D for trade. Not for a 40D, at least...and definately no-one I know of...that posts in this thread. But, you will be amazed with the image quality, even with a 3 year old cam.

I think the MK II looks good, in theory, but, still no weather sealing, etc. That's a key for me...cause I want to shoot out in the rain...and can't with the 5D. 1Ds next round...whether it be 3 or 4...who knows. Need money, first!

A bit hot for me too, but could just be your interpretation/preference of that photo, and in that case it's up to you of course!

Thanks for the Rocky Mountain National Park photos. Got fond memories of that place (hey, I think I know where you took that sunset shot!) and would love to go back again one day. Took a 10D there 4 years ago, and got some super-grainy ISO 3200 shots of foxes and deer. Ah, if only I had the 5D back then :)

I know...

I should have flipped one grad ND the other way and had Dark/Clear/Dark instead of having all the dark in the sky...

Oh well...gives me a reason to go back.

Actually, even at -2EV, the water is blown. Just too much DR...

It was a fun experiment.
