You definitely are getting better! That's the best of them yet. I really like these hummingbird shots, keep them coming, especially for the folk that say the 5D can't shoot moving stuff XD.

you are making me jealous>;)

Man man...hahaha...can I fly?

Thanks for the comments...I've spent a lot of time waiting for these shots...since the birds come and go rather quickly...so, I'll fire off a burst of shots, in the 15 seconds I have. Some are hit, some are miss...but, I definately will keep trying. Maybe put a black cloth on the background, so the bird pops more...

Regardless...I enjoy it, and therefore, it is something I can't complain about.

ok now, this isn't some amazing landscape with beautiful skies or birds etc... but i went with the kids to the roller skating rink today and was absolutely blown away by the performance of the 5d... the light was dim dim dim and this is only ISO 320 - i should have tried this same shot with the Xti because i really don't think it would have come out at all...

A local radio station used to have a segment called "The Adventures of Man-Man and his Notoriously Gay sidekick Boy-Boy." It got pulled.

LOL! Exactly what I thought when I used to see these posts but after tryingit, i found I rarely needed to sharpen. Even at higher ISO's I now no longer sharpness or use anysort of noise reduction.

I use very little sharpening on any of my images. It's easy to go over the top with sharpening.

Sharpening? What's that?

I haven't done any sharpening on any of the images i've taken with the 5d to date (a little over a month). I have used a little bit of noise reduction on the images i've uploaded to sell via microstock because they expect zero noise, but i haven't sharpened anything with the 5d

i'm also using an L (the "kit" lens that i got - the 24-105) so that helps a bunch.

but nope, no sharpening.
