First and Fourth work best for me. nicely done...and those are some serious lenses u have there. I've been thinking about another prime...but, the wife wants her own 5D first. :( :)

Well, i don't own them unfortunately. I rented them for this recital. I wish I did own them... maybe someday... they're amazing lenses.

Got a foot fetish, have we? ;)

:p

Yup :)

Actually, i had planned to sell them as stock photos - and shooting without showing recognizable people (no faces etc) allowed me to do that without a model release - but the owner of the dance studio found out my plans and told me that i couldn't use the images :(

I learned a lot and have some wonderful images, but now i can't sell them - tho i am planning on going back to her in a week or two to discuss it. I don't think she realizes how generic these images are. We'll see.

Ah...well, renting makes sense. Sucks that they won't let you use the images, but, hopefully the meeting will be successful.

Oh, and to all the fathers out there (in the US today is Fathers Day), hope you have a wonderful day!

Here's my virtual present to you.

I'm curious - why aren't you using the tripod ring Canon provide with the lens? Doesn't it reduce the strain on the lens/body interface, as well as balancing the whole ensemble better?

Great shot! I'm using my 5D a lot more recently and am learning that it truly is a "dust magnet" :)

Kenyc, I agree! No matter how careful I think I am while changing lenses, there is dust on the sensor.

Yeah, that doesn't bother me too much though. I just hope they add auto-sensor cleaning to the next release, I'll snap it up like a turtle. :)

Here's one from my 5D yesterday:

yeah, and too bad the current DPP won't allow 5D users to do the dust delete. That'd save LOTS of time when it comes to PP.

I recently joined the 5D club! I hope to start posting something as soon as my exams are over... all I can share so far is one of the quick test shots I took to be sure the camera didn't have any weird issues going on... I mis focused, but I think you can't really tell on this resolution :)

Grrr, just came back from low tide at the beach, shots of seagulls and blackbirds everywhere, using the 70-200 2.8 w 1.4x tele on the 5D I had the stabilizer set on 2 for the first time ever since I was mostly panning. Not a single keeper of the moving shots, not even at 1/1600 sec at f6.3-f8 and not so close that you'd worry about the depth of field. I'd guess 150 shots and I felt smoother and more on with the focus and panning than ever, chimping back I'd see that the red squares were right on with the focus and yet the only shots sharp enough to keep were the more static shots and they were great IQ wise but so bummed I deleted the whole batch. I was shooting at 100 ISO, and 200 ISO. Bright sunny day how could I miss. Some days the magic just isn't there.
