hvstar is out of Hong Kong, so I would think they would be the best for you. 2filter is in the US, not sure if they ship overseas, you'd have to look on the websites.

i have an address box in US so i can use it as shipping address but then another shipping is going and it is not cheap in some cases where i buy less than $300, and for hvstar i think i like their prices very much and it will be much cheaper for me but the different in prices is worrying me little bit, as a product is so expensive somewhere else even on 2filter but it is much cheaper in hvstar, so is it normal?

2filter.com still has to import the items into the US and pay fees and costs associated with doing so. hvstar eliminates that step and the import fees and cost of doing business that you have in the US, or other parts of the world. I have heard nothing about anyone getting a bogus product from them and the one I got sure seems authentic to me.

Filters are very high mark-up items for shops. They may only make 10% on the lenses, but may make 25-50% on items like filters. That's the way it is for many things.

I can't really help you there. I got the first one because it was cheaper there and more expensive everywhere else. I don't know which one is technically better. I know very little about filters. You may want to wait until someone who know something about filters chimes in.

Yeah ofcourse i will wait, doesn't matter for me if expensive as both are much cheaper than another places so each one can be fine but i think one of those both are the best or more popular but not sure which one.
Thank you very much, you did help me as you can anyway.

It seems like hvstar prices have gone up again. i meant to make a purchase in February but have been putting it off. Took a look again yesterday and I think prices and shipping have gone up slightly.

HVstar may seem cheaper, but make sure you are getting the BRASS one, which is a bit more expensive on their site. At least this is what I was told. The BRASS one is the one equivalent to what you'd get here in the states.

But just last night I was looking for a B+W 72mm MRC UV filter and it was $47 (brass) at HVstar + $10 shipping. At Adorama, it was $63 + shipping, but via Amazon, Adorama was selling it for $55 shipped. Some how it was cheaper going through Amazon then directly with Adorama...go figure.

It seems like only the UV MRC ones are described as alloy or brass.

I'm pretty sure that B&W MRC & Heliopan filters are the only ones with brass mounting rings. So those are the only ones you need to worry about in that respect.

The 77mm Hoya CPL I got was $130 (including shipping) cheaper than B&H. It was also about $50 cheaper than anyone through Amazon.

It says in the product description that they are brass mount. Hit ctrl+F to pull up your word search box in your browser and put in the word "brass" to find it.

I ordred one from hvstar last thursday, so far I haven't gotten any email from them besides the mail ask me to pay. Am I going to get a delivery notification email or something like that, or the item will just come at my door two weeks later.

Mine showed up USPS. I had to sign for it. Hvstar sent me a tracking number for the chinese mail end of it, but that just told me when it left China, didn't hear anything again until I had a note on my door from the Post Office.

For the more pricey filters (Lee is what I ordered) I use www.roberwhite.co.uk (external link)

Good service, prices, and they shipped to me in the US with no problems.

Got a B+W 77MRC KSM CPL from HV Star of Hong Kong, it arrived within a week and at half the price of high street shops here. Will use them again! :)
