How easy is the transition to a G6?

I was playing with a G6 in the store today, to get an idea of how it fit my hands, etc, and I noticed that I kept turning the LCD off by hitting the display button with the heel of my hand/thumb. There's a lot more open space to the right of the LCD on the previous G's, and I guess I developed bad posture

Have any of you who upgraded from an earlier G to the G6 had this problem? Did you get used to it pretty quickly?
