A720 IS / image stabilization permanent or on shoot only modus?

Hi,

I'm using since near a half year a 720 IS and I need your help to 'IS'. I set the image stabilization in the past on 'permanent mode', so that it's every time running.

My impression is, that my pics due to this mode are a little bit blurred, I changed the mode to 'shoot only', but Im not sure, if something changed.

Could you tell me, which modus are used by yourself?
