I'm very excited to have won second place at the florida strawberry festival this year with my lion photo. I found this wonderful lion at the big cat rescue in Tampa. This old fellow is a retired circus performer with a beautiful mane. :)

That's a really awesome shot. I love the colours and lighting from the sun on his face.

Congrats Ray, beautiful cat, but what does it have to do with strawberries?

Thanks Ira. Well I'm not sure if it has anything to do with strawberries :)
Maybe lions secretly love them. lol

Well, I guess that I was not clear as to what I was asking. Sorry about that.......

I did not realize that they had photo contest at the Florida Strawberry Festival. Is that something they have every year?

Yes they have had a contest for many many years now. They usually get about 10,000 entries so I feel very lucky. Last year was the first year I entered and I won best in show with my eagle portrait that is in the first potn photo book. :)
