I'm a bit confused and don't want to make a mistake...
The Op/Tech site
lists two kinds of straps: the Pro Strap and the Pro Loop Strap.
The B&H site lists several kinds "Super Pro Camera Strap with "A" Connectors" and "Super Pro Camera Strap with "B" Connectors" and "Pro Loop Camera Strap with Pro Loop Connectors" and 3/8 Webbing Connectors and Super Classic straps...
Here is a link to a search for black straps
.
I've got a 5D. I use a RRS L-bracket on it sometimes. I'd like to quickly disconnect the strap from the camera (I've made due thus far with the Canon strap permanently attached). Which strap from the B&H search do I want?
The wording I find vague. For example, the "Super Pro" is for "medium format and other professional cameras." Is the 5D a "professional camera?" Given that the "A" version of the strap fits, among others, Bronica, Hasselblad, Kiev, and Pentax LX, I would guess this is not the version for me. The "B" version lists Mamiya, Olympus IS1 and IS2, Pentax 645 and 67, and Rollei... so probably not that one either. The "Classic" doesn't seem to be the one everyone talks about, so that's out. So I believe it's down to the two "Pro Loop Camera Strap" models. One has Pro Loop Connectors and Quick Disconnects
and the other has 3/8" Webbing Connectors and Quick Disconnects
.
So, which one?
