Which Op/Tech Strap?

I'm a bit confused and don't want to make a mistake...

The Op/Tech site (external link) lists two kinds of straps: the Pro Strap and the Pro Loop Strap.

The B&H site lists several kinds "Super Pro Camera Strap with "A" Connectors" and "Super Pro Camera Strap with "B" Connectors" and "Pro Loop Camera Strap with Pro Loop Connectors" and 3/8 Webbing Connectors and Super Classic straps...

Here is a link to a search for black straps (external link).

I've got a 5D. I use a RRS L-bracket on it sometimes. I'd like to quickly disconnect the strap from the camera (I've made due thus far with the Canon strap permanently attached). Which strap from the B&H search do I want?

The wording I find vague. For example, the "Super Pro" is for "medium format and other professional cameras." Is the 5D a "professional camera?" Given that the "A" version of the strap fits, among others, Bronica, Hasselblad, Kiev, and Pentax LX, I would guess this is not the version for me. The "B" version lists Mamiya, Olympus IS1 and IS2, Pentax 645 and 67, and Rollei... so probably not that one either. The "Classic" doesn't seem to be the one everyone talks about, so that's out. So I believe it's down to the two "Pro Loop Camera Strap" models. One has Pro Loop Connectors and Quick Disconnects (external link) and the other has 3/8" Webbing Connectors and Quick Disconnects (external link).

So, which one?

This one: linky (external link)! :D
I think the difference between the Pro and Pro Loop is simply the way it fastens to the camera.

the "Pro-strap" uses connections like the stock canon ones, meaning you have to undue the strap, and then tediously rethread it through once it is on the camera. The pro loop strap uses small durable loops which you just put through the camera slot, and then thread through the other end of the connection, just like using a rope with prebuilt loop at the end. Thus it is much easier to put on and off if you should need to use a grip strap for instance. I have the loop strap on both my cameras and have had no problems with either. The POTN strap (which is an OPTECH) uses the loop connectors, and you get to support the forum at the same time. http://www.procameragear.com …/cPath/30/products_id/141 (external link)

That's what I figured - just wanted to make sure. Does the POTN strap have the the "Quick Disconnect" clips? Are they pretty secure? Obviously I wouldn't want the camera falling because one of the clips disengages. The picture on the PCG site indicates that it does include those.

And can you buy from ProCameraGear without creating an account? Good golly. Everyone wants an account these days. :-P

Yes they use quick disconnects. I have carried around everything that I would trust any body strap to support on them. The one on my 20D I have had for two years or more now and there are no major flaws on it. I've used it strapped over my shoulder with a 70-200 for hours at a time and have never thought twice about whether or not it would hold.

Did you receive your strap? About how long did it take, if you can remember?

I'm having a problem with the POTN shop right now and cant seem to get anyone at procameragear.com to return emails, no shipping notice sent, etc.
