Challenge #113 - Make Me Laugh

Maybe it's a picture of somebody laughing heatily or maybe it's one that has a humorous content to it, but I want to smile and even laugh when I see it. The picture that tickles my funny bone the most could be the winner (provided the quality, composition, and adherence to the rules are in order).

We meet our In-Laws every year in Florida, this is from 2005 with my old S1 IS which has died. We are waiting for a sunrise. I asked Tony and he could not hear me over the waves, if he had a pocket full of batteries? Enjoy!http://farm4.static.flickr.com …08227667_b96f9e06bc_o.jpg (external link)

Happy wheels

S5 is
Happiness happens.
He's got a black eye from falling off my dining room chair a week earlier.
He's got depthless imagination babbling over from untappable innocence.
He's got happiness we learned adults yearn for.

This was my grandson Justin's 1st ride on our boat, he is 5 months old in this picture. He laughed & smiled every time we hit a wake or the boat bounced around. This was in Old Forge, NY on 4th Lake.

Results

Thanks for entering. Here are my thoughts on each of the pictures:

- bayoubooger - no title and picture size too large (230K) - Nice picture, horizon is not level, however. Didn't make me laugh.

- Paul B - "Bubbles" - Cute picture. Made me smile. Maybe a different composition would have been more effective (maybe her laughing as she is blowing bubbles).

- DeeDoubleYou - "My nephew Hiding" - Another cute picture. I like the "aww, you found me" expression.

- Old man Don - "Happy Wheels" - Great picture and great composition. Definitely made me laugh with him.

- DreDaze - Funny picture. Well composed. But no title!

- benarnold - "Granny's Inn" - Nice picture, but didn't quite impact me as the previous one (similar concept).

- FusionFrank - "Justin's 1st Boat Ride" - Brought a definite smile to my face. Great capture. Would have been even better with a little more of the side of the boat and water in the background.

- abuseddog - "My new lensmate adapter arrived today" - One of the important concepts of humor is a little bit of truth combined with contrast - you have captured it exceptionally well here. made me laugh.

Now for the results:

1st place - Old man Don - Happy Wheels
2nd place - abuseddog - "My new lensmate adapter arrived today"
3rd place - FusionFrank - "Justin's 1st Boat Ride"

Honorable mention - DreDaze - with a title, you would have made the top three.

Congratulations to the winners!! Very interesting entries, it's great to see what makes other people laugh. Oh, abuseddog, I didn't see that adaptor on their website, can you give me the link? ;)

How cool would that be.

I was pressed for ideas, riding a bike at the gym while reading a sports illustrated, noticed this full size cut out of the lens, took it home and put some thin wire on it to hold it too the camera. I was at the same time buying an adapter tube and some filters off ebay, that was pretty much the light bulb.
